Animal Testing is bad!!!

Dear Editor of The New York Times,

My name is Steve and I am in 5th grade. I have some suggestions about animal testing.  I am writing to you because we are against animal testing.  I think it is bad because imagine if you were an animal you have a chance of dying. So please go against animal testing.

I thought it would be better if we just used it some bugs.  They have a lot of small animals which are like animals but not. I mean what animals ever did to you. Why does it have to be on animals? There are also some other ways to make products and I can tell you some ways.

First of all you can use some computers to make products.   There is something called “Computerized chemical structure-activity relationship (SAR) and knowledge-based expert systems” and this lets scientists to predict what will happen to humans.

I know why people want animal test and I thought it will be ok if there isn’t just too much. I though the reason would be because they don’t want humans to die also... But to me I think animals should be treated farley like humans. So I think it will be ok as long as it is limited. Like we have today.

I think animal testing should be limited every person or company once a month on animal testing. I think it will be better to not have animal testing at all but it shouldn’t be illegal. Those are reasons why I think there shouldn’t be animal testing but sometimes it is ok.

Sincerely,

Steve
